Basically, 2011 is the year that I cut my hair short, maintained a planner, and traveled abroad.
I haven't answered the traditional year-end survey that I've been answering for the last three years or so. I'll probably make a post about it and set it to private for posterity's sake. I've always relied on that post to guide me in looking back at the things I have done in the past year. I realized it's hard to summarize a year's worth of memories in just one day! Most people cheat by saying they've had highs and lows over the last year. Well unless you've had that one life-changing event, people tend to see their year as an average of emotional fluctuations over the span of 365 days, that it somehow balances each other out as the year ends.
This past year was a steady year for me. I simplified various aspects of my life. I cut out unnecessary hair, unnecessary stress, and unnecessary baggage. It's a sigh of relief but I miss the risks! So for the next year, I plan to dive in again and make things
messy interesting.
Not including my academic performance, of course. Thanks for sticking around :) Excited for 2012 because it's the year of the dragon. And because like everyone else, I bought a new planner and can't wait to make lists. A clean slate has always been inviting.
